Review: The Collingwood Guest House is a most beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Having arrived very late, I was made to feel very welcome. After being shown to my room, which was large, well furnished and spotlessly clean, I was offered 'supper' and refreshments. Rosemary is a wonderful cook and a great host. Nothing was too much trouble. Come the morning I didn't want to leave! I would definitely recommend anyone to visit and stay. Thank you Rosemary for making me so welcome. Clay

Collingwood Guest House is a large and imposing property set within two acres of gardens and makes a superb base for large gatherings or two families wishing to holiday together. Standing detached, the house offers spacious accommodation and has been furnished and decorated to a very high standard and also boasts a large galleried landing with French doors leading to the first floor balcony.

Collingwood is located close to Tehidy Park - a private estate which boasts 250 acres of natural parkland with lakes, picnic areas and which also adjoins an 18-hole golf course. A wooded stroll from the doorstep leads to the North Cliff park with far-reaching sea views, and there are several sandy beaches, the closest being Portreath (2 miles) with facilities for surfing and an old harbour. A short stroll from the village is the awe-inspiring Hell's Mouth, a cauldron of waves and black rocks at the base of 200ft cliffs.St Ives lies 10 miles distant and is home to the Tate Gallery, Barbara Hepworth Museum as well some of the loveliest beaches, which can be found at St Ives Bay and a little further along the coast at Hayle. The cathedral city of Truro (15 miles) is easily accessible for the day where summer cruise can be taken from the quayside on a scenic river cruise to Falmouth. The popular attraction, The Eden Project is within an easy drive, where children and adults alike will be kept entertained for hours, marveling at some of the most exotic flora under the vast domes and is a day not to be missed.

A large comfortable living room with TV is available for guests to use and is warmed during the colder months by gas central heating. WiFi Internet Access is available
